I know it's been forever since we've updated, but it's so hard to keep up with blogs, e-mail, facebook, message boards, and a baby! Anyway, thought I would post some new pictures. Liam has some teeth, he got 2 at once, his bottom front. Yesterday he sat in a high chair for the very first time! He is getting very big and his personality is really coming out! He is very sweet natured, he sleeps great, and is such a blessing to us. He was baptized on Fathers Day, so I will include some of those photos as well. That was a great day and we were thrilled to share it with so many people, including Steven Campbell (q) and Lars' Aunt Susie from Mississippi.

I know it's been a while since our last post, but it's been crazy with the move! We have finally made it to Baton Rouge! We are excited to be here and are slowly settling in. We had a great Easter weekend in Gulf Shores, AL with the family, and Liam went swimming for the first time! Here are a few pictures from our trip!

New Pictures

Here are some new pictures of Liam. I went back to work last Monday so that's why you haven't heard from us in a while! Going back to work was definitely harder on me than it was on Liam! Debra, a friends of our that works with me, was nice enough to watch him last week and he had a ball! She spoiled him rotten! We couldn't line up any child care this week so I am working in the mornings and coming home when Lars has to go to work. We just have to get through this week, and pack up our house, and we'll be ready to move! We can't wait! But we would like to move to be done already.

Happy Days

Here is the first picture of Liam smiling, with his eyes open anyway. He is doing new things everyday and he is such a happy baby! But his smiles are fleeting and it's been a challenge to capture one on camera.

Snow Day!

We had our first (and probably last) REAL snow fall of the season! We received about 6 inches! Here are a few pictures of us enjoying it.

Trip to DC

Last Saturday, on Mimi's last day in town, we went to DC to the Newseum. We had a great time, but we didn't make it to the American History Museum as planned. The American history Museum is now open after an extended renovation, and we haven't been there since we've lived in the area. Since it looks like we will be moving soon we will have to hurry! Liam slept through most of his trip, so not sure how much culture he was exposed to. Maybe in a few months?

Speeding???

So I got a speeding ticket today! We were picking up Lars' sister Mimi from the airport and a cop started signaling me to slow down. I was NOT speeding at this point, just coming up to a slower speed zone, so I was annoyed that she was telling me to slow down. I did slow down and we eventually stopped at the curb to get Mimi. Well the cop came barreling down the road and when she got to my car she rapped hard on the window and started screaming at me! She insisted that she signaled me to pull over and she was crying too! Clearly it was going to do no good to argue with her so I just shut up. but it was very strange. I would never have intentionally not pulled over if I had thought that's what she wanted. ANd I'm certain she lied on the ticket, she said I was going 39 in a 15! First of all it wasn't a 15 yet, but I was certainly not going 39! I was basically in the airport lot at this time. It was very odd that she was screaming at me, and that she was crying. Obviously she had a bad day and decided to take it out on me. I have NEVER had a speeding ticket, I just don't speed! I did get a ticket for failure to come to a complete stop when I was 18, but that's it. Oh, and a ticket for running a red light (total accident!) at a signal that had a camera. I don't even know what happens when you get a ticket! Can I dispute it? Does my insurance go up? ANyway, welcome to Annapolis Mimi! Sorry your arrival was so eventful!

Go Broncos!

I was so hoping Liam would get some Bronco gear!  My sister Sasha sent him Bronco booties and a Buster bronco, which Zoe thinks should belong to her.  Here is a picture of Liam with Buster and his booties!

New Pictures

We had a great visit with family this past week!  Lars' Dad Sheldon and his wife Judi came to visit.  It was SO nice to have family around!  We went out to dinner a couple of times, and Liam was very well behaved!  We went shopping for a few baby items we still needed and Judi was very helpful in pointing out things we did need but didn't know it!  It was a wonderful weekend!  Lars' Mom Millicent is arriving this Thursday, and we can't wait to see her too!  Then we have his sister Mimi coming in mid February.  I wanted to post a few more pics too.  I feel like I could put new pictures up every day, because he really changes every day.  He is staying awake for much longer intervals and is more alert and aware of his surroundings.  We are amazed every day that he is ours!

Here is a picture of Liam smiling!  It's a little blurry because I was trying to take it quick!  But it looks like a smile to me!

The next picture is of Liam and Zoe, doesn't she look cranky?  SHe is adjusting pretty well to a new baby, although she does get upset when Lars pays too much attention to Liam, because of course she thinks SHE should be the center of attention!  Poor puppy!

Diaper Duty

I think we are doing something wrong!  As smart and educated as we consider oursleves, we seem to be having a problem with the diapering of our infant!  Is it normal to have to change his clothes nearly everytime we change his diaper?  He just waits for the ONE second that we don't have him covered and he sprays everywhere!  And yesterday at his pediatrician appointment he actually sprayed POOP all over me!  Luckily I have a sense of humor about the situation :)  He really hates to have his diaper changed, because he doesn't like to be naked, and I think he's just paying us back for it!  Smart boy...

Liam Anders Johnson is here!

Sorry this has taken so long, but we had a terrible internet connection in the hospital!  Liam is here and he is just perfect!  Very mellow and sweet!  We went in with lots of contractions on Sunday night at about 10pm.  He was born via c-section at 11:17pm!  It all happened very fast!  The c-section was a breeze and I'm recovering nicely.  Here are a few pictures!
